Martha's Vineyard is a very special place indeed, especially in late spring and early summer. All these pictures were taken on June 15, 16, and 17, on the ferry, in Menemsha and up on Middle Road in Chillmark. On the latter pictures, whenever I walk or bike up Middle Road, I'm reminded of the 1950s -- the open fields, lovely grasses, the sea just out of sight.

I couldn't resist the sepia for the picture of the trawler, taken on the Ferry back. It looks so 1940s or 50s in that treatment.
