SAMBRO NOVA SCOTIA
COMMENTS

These pictures were taken at the southern most point of Nova Scotia. The first and third pictures you can just barely make out Sambro Island, which is quite a distance from Crystal Crescent Beach where I took the pictures from.

What a beautiful place - and what starkly, moodily beautiful pictures of it. I especially like the last shot. The line of rocks really draws me in. I want to stand where you were standing and just breathe the air.

As you can see from my pictures, its pretty gray here too.

Doreen, what a lovely shore. And you have taken wonderful shots. Keep it up :o) I really liked the cloud formation above the sea and the texture of the sea in the second shot. The first and the last shot are charming :o)

All around the whole shore, there are a lot of beaches.

So you managed to get a break in the weather, eh? :) ... I miss Crystal Crescent Beach; I haven't seen it in over a decade, but that last shot, looking towards the second and third beach is etched in my memory. Wonderful pictures Mom! Too bad you didn't have some sun, or maybe some crashing waves, but nature does have it's moods, and you've captured this one nicely! :)

It looks sad and lonely - but in a good way. Like when you cry and it feels good. I love these pics. Thanks for making me feel!

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments. I will get more as soon as the sun shines and the waves break and hopefully, people on the beach. The weather was less than sun bathing weather and not too inviting for beaches.

I hope to someday go there.

Just wondering.... really, how many weeks of summer do you get there?
Tishfish said at 7:38 p.m. on Jul 9, 2007:
About as much as everybody else except our summers are a little cooler, and down in this area, it's about 10 to 15 degrees cooler than Halifax, but at most times, that's a plus.

Very nice TishFish...I am guessing this is outside of Yarmouth headed toward white point Beach or no...we are leaving in a few weeks - heading to your neck of the woods...can't wait...Merrijan
