Congratulations to STS-117!

Despite a loose thermal blanket, computer glitches on the ISS, and thunderstorms at Cape Canaveral, STS-117 returned successfully to Edwards Air Force Base, CA at 12:49 PDT. 

 

The crew completed 4 space walks (3 for solar array work on the ISS and 1 to repair the loose thermal blanket.

 

Special congratulations to Mission Specialist Suni Williams who now holds the record for the longest spaceflight for a women at 194 days, 18 hours and 58 minutes.  She switched places aboard the STS-117 with flight engineer Clayton Anderson who will spend the next several months aboard the ISS.
