OLD DRAWINGS BY ME

THIS IS A  COLOUR PENCIL DRAWING DONE BY ME,DURING MY EARLY COLLEGE DAYS, ON AN OLD THIN PIECE OF PAPER (THE ONLY PAPER THAT WAS AVAILABLE WITH ME AT THE TIME). I CAN'T DRAW LANDSCAPES TOO WELL AND THIS WAS AN ATTEMPT TO DRAW ONE SUCH PICTURE THAT CAUGHT MY EYE,WITH WHATEVER COLOURING MATERIAL I HAD(COLOUR PENCILS AT THE TIME).I LIKED THE REFLECTION IN THE WATER IN THIS DRAWING AND THEREFORE TRIED TO PRESERVE IT DESPITE IT'S BAD CONDITION.

Excellent drawings. The top one could easily be a "season's greetings" card. I'm surprised you don't restore the last one. It is interesting and you can use an "eye-dropper" tool to perfectly match colors to replace and restore the damaged areas.

Latent : Thank you so much for your compliments. Since i don't have photoshop, i haven't tried to restore it. I shall hopefully be acquiring the software soon and then shall try to work on this picture. Thank you for your advice. Really appreciate it :o)

I love the top one! It definitely is greeting card material. That's great that you kept them. I didn't keep any of my stuff from school like that. You're very good.

WOW Ray, my eyes have popped open wide at your comment! What a compliment! Thank you soooo much though i personally don't think they are all that great. Just preserving them by posting them here, especially since i have stopped drawing :o)

Thank you Chris. I just kept all my drawings in a file, because they were dear to me. But had misplaced them a while back while shifting etc and they got exposed to the rain and the weather in an open carton. Found them recently and decided to post them on tabblo before further deterioration :o)

Wow, you are not only a talented photographer, but also a gifted painter, with great taste for colors and sense of perspective. As LatentE said you should restore that last image (Photoshop has everything you need to do that). Don't you draw anymore?

Thanks for sharing these. I am especially partial to the first one. The style reminds me very much of one of my favourite artists - Lawren Harris. Do you know his work? He was one of the Canadian "Group of Seven" artists.

Eduardo : It's so very nice of you to say such nice things about me but i don't think i am worthy of such high praise :o) I tried restoring the drawing with Paint.Net and even succeeded to some extent. But since i am new to these softwares and there is no straight forward tutorial available for the same, it will take some time to understand the technique of restoration.I appreciate your interest and advice :o)

Dee : Thank you very much for the compliments. I don't think i can take very good pictures yet. I used to draw a bit but not any more. Actually i don't feel proud of myself. Maybe i should :o)

Jude : Thank you so much. I will definitely share my drawings here with all of you, if and when i make them. All of you are so kind and encouraging, maybe i should start drawing again. Planning to get an art teacher to teach me the finer points.

Paul : On seeing my drawing, you were reminded of one of your favourite artists...i am glad my drawing could do that. Thank you for the gracious compliment. After reading your comment, i immediately searched for information on Lawren Harris. Saw a couple of his paintings online. :o)

EMA :I will try to start drawing again. Thank you for the encouragement :o)
