Once upon a time at the Summer Palace

It was 1 PM in the afternoon and with my D70s in hand, I set out for the Summer Palace. I was blessed with a gorgeous day in Beijing, which you don't get quite often. But having a gorgeous has also a price to pay...I was constantly sweating like I just came out of the sauna. My shirt was wet from all the sweat and my drinking water was on the verge of boiling (haha not really), but for the sake of photography, I kept my pace and tried to grab the best shots. It was so beautiful and I feel that every one of these photos should be large. Thus, most of them will be!

The photos bring back wonderful memory's of a 10 week commission in Beijing a few years ago. We who live outside of Asia do not know of the history that this building can tell. Thank for the images. I will now have to go into my box of just over a 1000 pictures and look again. How many pictures of bikes did i take when i cycle around the ring roads of Beijing.........
