The Lake District in Cumbria England

I spent a weekend in The Lake District of Cumbria in May. The weather was great and I  had a great weekend. The scenery is breathtaking and the roads are really made for driving. I spent one day walking but didn't fancy anything to challenging so I did Latrigg, which  is Keswick's own personal fell. Its close proximity and steep rising gradients make it an imposing presence. Yet in reality it is only a very modest fell, little more than a third of the height of its giant neighbour Skiddaw. The reward for climbing Latrigg is the view from it. On a clear day you see the length of Borrowdale and the Helvellyn range can be seen on your left.

Enjoy.

Such a lovely place. I liked the shaggy cattle in need of a haircut and was curious about the pic of the sticks and stones laid out on the leaf. What, if any, is the significance?

The Sticks and stones laid out on the leaf was a real mystery to me. I came across it on the shore line of Lake Windermere near the Marina. Someone expressing their artistic side I guess.

What a FABULOUS view and you have done an amazing job in capturing it's beauty. The cattle shot is a stunner and they do look like they could do with a haircut :o) I keep looking at these pictures and wishing i could see this beauty in person. The meadow, the water body with the town around it,the shot of the water with the rocks in it,the stone and twigs on a leaf and the imposing slopes are all wonderful pictures. Well done :o)
