Fireworks in Gloucester - July 3, 2007

The first picture, that of the sunset, is meant to get the viewer located in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Everything else was taken from this view. The abstractness of the photos had to do not simply with the subject -- the fireworks -- but also the two-second, f-8 exposure on camera steadied only by a monopod.

Fantastic. It's sunny and 90 degrees in Oregon and won't be dark enough for fireworks for another 4 hours. I consider that I've already seen the best fireworks now that I've seen your Tabblo.

Like the arrangement, gives a good feel for the show. Knowing you were working with just a monopod is even more impressive. Nive work.

You have presented a lovely Tabblo from a very difficult to photograph subject. Thanks for the tip about a 2 sec exposure and the f.8 setting. I woul like to try that sometime, when I get a chance to see a firework display. Your pics are exceptionally clear and crisp, and the colours are super too. Excellent work!
