Stephen Hasham Clock - Baptist Church - Cornish Flat NH

This small Baptist Church was built in 1818.  It received its Hasham tower clock around 1844.  The clock is still weight and pendulum driven today.

The church is situated at the end of a lovely green, at the other end of which is a war memorial for Cornish.

Below is the view from the front steps of the church.

I was born in Cornish 74 years ago and live at the Flat until I was 21. This clock tower has only three clock faces...none on the west side. I'm wondering if anyone knows why. I have heard that not enough funds were raised from the west side residents. Can this be true? Reply to zz199@juno.com.
