Bridge of Glass

Designed by Chihuly, the 500-foot-long pedestrian bridge links the Museum of Glass to downtown Tacoma in Washington.  The conical building is a glass workshop attached to the museum.  Right next to the museum is the Tacoma Union Station which features some of Chihuly's work.  Further down are photos taken inside the workshop and Union Station.  For more photos of Chihuly's work, check out my first and second tabblos.

What a nice collection of shots here. I just love coloured glass or faceted crystal. I think it is a very beatuiful art form, as it allows the light to shine through and enhance the colouurs with a lovely glow. What a great place to visit, I would really like to see this place. You have mad an excellent presentation showing us a lot of the art work there.

Nice layout. I prefer looking at this tabblo rather than looking at each individual picture. It has more appeal.

Tabblo critique group: Beautifully coloured and layed out tabblo. I saw a documentary once about this artist and I think he does amazing stuff. (it may even have been on the making of the garden of glass). I love how you spaced the very colourful pieces throughout they tie the whole thing together.
...The picture of the blue sculpture next to the workshop with the people walking past, has an off world science fiction feel to it. ... but for the life of me, I can't make head nor tails out of what I am looking at when it comes to the bridge of glass. I'm glad you provided a link. I have to go check this out.

I love chihuly glass. It is beautiful. I have taken many pictures of the ceiling in the Bellagio in Las Vegas. The colors are amazing. You have taken some wonderful pictures here! Great job!

TCG - Totally agree with Susan. I just can't think of anything that would make it better than it already is. I've been a Chihuly fan for a long time. The Corning Museum of Glass has one of his pieces.

Really like the colors in this one. It takes a deft touch to photograph another artist's work and not have it look merely like a photograph of another artist's work.
