Wildlife of Wells State Park

Part of the wetlands preserve of Wells State Park in Massachusetts is home to a number of herons, beavers, and owls. There is also a family of black bears, a member of which made a surprise appearance recently.

A heron spends the day fishing.

This little fellow was very cross at me for getting too close to her nest.

These are two baby owls who made a rare daytime appearance. The mother was nearby but pictures of her did not come out well.

Beautiful! My dad took me here when I was little and although we didn't see any owls it was still a great experience.
