The Colors of Antigua

This window is a detail from the photo on the left.

I was fortunate to be able to travel to Antigua, Guatemala recently.  I was fascinated by the colors of many of the building there, so I tried to capture some of the color. Most of these photos were made while traveling rather rapidly through the streets in a van with about 13 other people.  I watched for color ahead and snapped a picture as we went by, so some aren't so sharp and a little bit unlevel.  Getting people in the picture was a bonus.

Incredible shots, esp. with the fact that you were in a tour van.

It wasn't a tour van. I was there with a church group, building (very) modest houses for people who lived in bamboo houses. More of the pictures, including some house building activity and some construction on a school can be seen at http://guatemala.historystreasure.com or http://guatemala2.historystreasure.com
