We arrived in Phoenix to 110 degree heat, at 10:30 pm.  We went to pick up our "economy compact" car and we ended up with the Chevy HHR.  We were stylin' and ready to take on the southwest...

We headed out to the Hotel Valley Ho for a couple of days of sit still relaxation.  It was such a cool place---a renovated 1950's motor inn to the stars.  Everything, down to the soaps, was modern and high style.  And, to top it off, when we arrived, our room had been upgraded to a suite by our friends Chyld and Sabra!  Our belated wedding gift also included martinis delivered to our door.  So, needless to say, our vacation was off to an excellent start!
