Thank you Pam and Jude. I was in the grocery store ... shooting pictures again.. LOL I took a lot more ... but will do something tomorrow with some of the others. I love purple though, so decided to just walk around taking different shades of purple ... FOR MY PLEASURE !!!! :)

Jeri - GINGER is my favorite flower .. .and though it's not a purple flower... I love the elegance of that flower. I think the snap dragons are beautiful when blooming, but I don't like when they start looking dingy. LOL

Anders ... LOL... you always make me laugh. I don't want to lose my PHOTO SHOPPING SKILLS... so I have to keep up with that GIFT I have.. hahahahaha.... !! I have other colors I love too, but I'm drawn to purple so often. Maybe it's because it's more "girly"... :???? Probably why it would not be your favorite. Your favorite is CAMOUFLAGE.. right ?? LOL Or maybe BLACK... (leather). :)

I believe the one you are talking about is an Orchid. Most of them I took pictures of are orchids on this tabblo, except the occasional Snap Dragon and one tulip, one calla lilly with a purple mum behind it, and one group of alstromeria in a pic. The majority are different colors of orchids though. :)

My sister teases me about photo shopping all the time, Elizabeth. Even her husband will ask her if they should run to the store ... and she says, for what ??? He will say ... "TO TAKE PICTURES ... LIKE SHEILA"... hahahahaha.... !! She just doesn't know how cool it really is. *wink*
