Great. I don't think I'll get bored of IR anytime soon, it's just such an out-of-the-ordinary view on the world around us.

The third one should be titled "Shiny Happy People" :)

That's really cool that you almost got the "Wood Effect" in the photo with the surfers. The Wood Effect is named after Dr. Wood who in the early 1900s that when you take pictures with film that has no anti-halation layer, the light burns the negative but also goes through it, gets refracted, hits the back plate and reflects back into the negative and burns just a little bit more with a glow or halo effect. Kodak IR film is famous for the Wood Effect. No other IR method can give you Wood Effect, but it looks like the people were reflecting so much IR that they almost glow with it. If you had exposed for the people, you wouldn't have gotten that effect, but you luckily exposed for the sea! Awesome!

I cannot wait to get back down to Florida with my IR camera. There are so many places and old haunts that I know would be perfect. One of them is Torreya out west of Tallahassee... The Garden of Eden of America...

Ok Anders, I went to the link, I get it now, I wondered how you got them to be so good, I have got a IR plugin for photoshop but it is next to useless after looking at these, ah well, you cant beat the real thing I suppose, unless I try another plugin? :-)

Thank you again everybody. Thank you Jeff for all know how that you share. I got pretty stunned when I saw the pic too. I think you are right, and I guess that the white sand we have here (almost like snow) reflects a lot of the IR light too. Have to check out Torreya too.

I don't know enough about IR phototography to give a critique, but I do love the top right shot of the tree with the moss and the reflections! ... The photo of the surfers is creepy; looks like a nuclear explosion just happened! Pretty wild, actually! :)
