Rusty but Beautiful ... in Shreveport, LA

I was in Shreveport, LA last weekend for the day and drove around looking at some of the buildings in the downtown area.  This is one of the buildings that impressed me.  I loved all the detail given to the design along the side of the building.

 

The other impressive thing to me was the escape stairs on the side of the building that were rusted.  Notice the RUST that covers the sidewalk too from when it rains.  I thought this was so unique.  I don't know I'd trust climbing down them.. hahahaha... but the rust has given them a beautiful color to add to the building.

Great shots of the building. Super layout. I find building s can be so interesting and different.Love the one of the fire escape stairs (the one above the last shot) Perfect angle.

Thank you every one. I also like the one I took where I'm directly under it. I could see the detail of it so clearly and it showed up on the picture too. I have no idea what that building is used for, but such great detail, that I had to take some pictures of it. I loved the brown trim that made the rusted stairs just stand out even more. Glad you all liked it too. :)

I love the lines of the stairs - and I think I'd trust them enough if the place were on fire. a great building too. your angles are wonderful.

Wayne - I don't think I've ever seen a fire escape quite like that one. The rust on it amazed me and the big spot of rust on the ground it leaves. The rest of the sidewalk was clean ... but that one spot. Intrigued me.

Elizabeth - I guess if the building was on fire and that was my only escape ... I'd have to trust them too...LOL

Thanks Zippy and Oscar. I thought it was a great building for capturing some unique features. Fav for me was that fire escape ... but I did love some of the design in the building too. :)

I am still Ig. U. But this was a great find, all pictures are GREAT of an old house that is soo rusty and appealing. Love your angles and details, and most of all the #6 with the stairs. Great job

Thanks Karsten. I just ran to Shreveport for the day to see a friend. I was leaving the next day on a trip for a family reunion, so had to run there and back on the one day. Just a 3 hour drive one way from Dallas. :)

Thanks Jude. The 6th seems to be most peoples favorite. :) I also liked the last one showing the rust on the sidewalk from the fire escape. :)
