Pam, I love your series of photos, both the Louisiana ones and the "blues." This is the perfect combination of the two! I love that blue building in the middle.

it's like the two-fers, suddenly everything turns BLUE around you!!! amazing combination of Louisiana and blues!!! of course my favorites: the fleur de lys, de jazz banner & screen, the butterfly, the closed shutters and the window, like some would say.. WOW.

I can feel the story you tell, and that's good of you without words! A good, colourful and thoughtful Tabblo. Well done!

Beautiful blues, and beautiful pix too. I love blue, so find it very attractive looking at this tabblo. I like the variety of shots also, with different and interesting subjects. It gives us a look into the the sc enes of another city that we may have never seen before and creates the moods of the moment. Nice one.

SO BLUE!!! Wonderful photpgraphy, and a great tabblo. I always get so upset when I have been to New Orleans, or read / see about N.O and other parts that was so devastated by Katrina. They pour hundreds of billions to kill Iraqis, but aid and solutions to the Golf coast.. Hmm like pulling teeth. Great blue Tabblo

Great tabblo. The blue theme really does tie things together pulling the eye from image to image and finding interesting things in each one.
Pkeener said at 6:32 p.m. on Aug 6, 2007:
This was a bit of "dis"n "dat" thrown together for a Blue Monday..Thierry, you have quoted the Cajun Waltz..a standard you hear in all the honkey tonks across Acadiana. thank you for the wonderful comment. Annelies, WOW is allowed on da Monday Blues. Hi Cingyo..love yr pic! To all of you who like Blue, it is my pleasure to make these..it's fun. Yes anders, this wasn't very sad..but Ihav a lot of pics that are.

thanks, once again, sistah for a great mondays blues. how fitting that your theme is louisiana for today's blues - i read a headline in today's paper about how the higher court (appellate court i think) ruled that the homeowners' insurance policies didn't cover floods (at least the ones in the lawsuit)...and i was so saddened...talk about having the monday blues :( ANYWAY, at least your pictures are great and your tabblo shows a positive beat for down south :) :) so a big thank you :)
Jerii said at 9:28 p.m. on Aug 6, 2007:
Now this is cool! Can't believe you found so many blue things. I really like the deserted gas station.
Xtine said at 9:37 p.m. on Aug 6, 2007:
love the tractor (it seems lonely). love the 2-blue building (makes me think of my 1st & only lego set). love its blueness (my favorite color).

It would truly be a blue Monday without you, Pam. Great mix of LA and blues. This is getting to be quite a spectacular portfolio!
Pkeener said at 11:59 p.m. on Aug 6, 2007:
thank you all and I appreciate your input on this series..I almost didn't post this one, and judging by your comments, I am glad i did. Xtine, i thought of legos, too..Peg, you are so thoughtful, thank you Tammy and John and Jerii..I loved that tractor, too. I drove 5 miles out of my way to circle back and take the pics! I saw it from a bridge and it was so cure, i couldn't resist. Rich..knew you'dike it. Laura, thaks for the encouragement.

Your Monday blues is a great series Pam. I can imagine you're seeing more blue in the world because of this, just like I'm seeing 2-fers now. I cant believe you found a blue tractor...who'd a thunk. These are all great pictures.
Pkeener said at 11:31 a.m. on Aug 7, 2007:
Jude, it's ironic..because I shot these Louisiana pics in April, before I started the series..
Marian..dankjewel

That shade of blue seems to be a popular colour in Louisiana, must be because of the fleur de lys. I love the butterfly mural; such a lovely way to revitalize a city, and the artist chose a perfect symbol for rebirth. ... Does the wing actually stick out? Very nice shot of the tractor too; I wonder how long it's been sitting there in the middle of the field like that?
Pkeener said at 3:43 p.m. on Aug 7, 2007:
Hi Dar, that mural is huge and amazing, but only one demensional, by the excellent artist, Robert Dafford. It is in Lafayette, LA. Please check out this link: http://www.daffordmurals.com/theMurals/lafayette_postcard.html.
AliDar said at 3:56 p.m. on Aug 7, 2007:
Thanks for the link! :) Beautiful work! Now that is certainly one parking lot I wouldn't mind in the least sitting in the car and waiting!
Zippywinds said at 10:19 p.m. on Aug 7, 2007:
