Here's the paint I used. |
Just a quick project I've been wanting to do, I finally got around to, today. I painted a kitchen jar w/some chalkboard paint so that I can write on the outside of the jar. It's a cinch to do. First you need some of the special chalkboard paint. Then you just tape off the area on the jar you want to cover and paint! It takes the clear glass a few coats to cover and you have to wait for each coat to dry but it doesn' take long. Once the surface is totally dry remove the tape and you're finished. You need to wait about 3 days for the paint to "cure" before you write on it. We actually painted one portion of a wall in our son's room with this paint so that he has his own little art area to draw and create - so fun - especially for use in kids rooms. You can use it on metal, wood, walls, whatever! |

Here's the brush - just a cheap old sponge. |

The backside of the jar - see - just a plain clear glass. |

I just taped it off and laid it down to paint it. |

Here it is all painted up - it's still drying and will need one more coat. |

I'm going to put coffee beans in this jar once I'm finished! |
