The CIGNA/Elliot 5K, an annual event in Manchester, is New Hampshire's biggest road race.  Several elite runners compete for cash prizes.  They are joined by several thousand other runners and walkers.  These pictures are from the August 9, 2007 edition of the race.  I was at the Thayer Street water station.

The CIGNA/Elliot 5K is co-sponsored by CIGNA HealthCare and Elliot Hospital.  They organize the race and many company employees help out on race day.  But an event like this also depends on volunteer help.  Each year the Thayer Street water station is staffed by volunteers from local running clubs.
