And as I noticed, except the last one, all were taken from the same direction. Nice variations there.

AliDar said at 2:21 p.m. on Aug 15, 2007: TCG: I love all the colours displayed here; I'm not sure if it's the result of applied filters, different camera setting, or if you took advantage of the spectacular colour and light display that nature put on for you. Regardless or which, my interest doesn't diminish because of not knowing, (in-fact, it heightens it) and I'm only mentioning it at all because of the dramatic differences between the two shots side by side in the third row down. I'm struck by the cool blue of one, and the warm yellow tone of the other. I find it fascinating to compare the two, and my interest in photography makes me want to know more. My compliments regarding the repeated reference points in each of the shots; I find that as I scroll down though this tabblo I'm looking for the same tree shapes to compare. Because of the dramatic differences in the colour and cloud formations, it is obvious that nature truly did put on a wonderful display for you, and you've captured them beautifully!.
This tabbo has left me with a lot of questions regarding whether or not this was one evenings display, did you use various camera settings to achieve the colour differences or was this also part of the wondrous natural event? I don't expect you to answer these questions; I assume, with time and experience, I'll be able to answer such things on my own, but what you've displayed here is an inspiration to me to learn even more of the complexities of photography.
Woland783 said at 3:05 p.m. on Aug 15, 2007: thank you all for the comment. @Rahul.sharma: you are right: same place fo all the pictures... also for the last one! @AliDar: no post-work here, except for cropping... the only filters I used were on my lens! ;)
AliDar said at 3:25 p.m. on Aug 15, 2007: ... Oh that's such a tease! <grin>
Woland783 said at 5:50 p.m. on Aug 15, 2007: actually i have no idea of what "such a tease" means ;D
se qualcuno può tradurlo in italiano... :D
AliDar said at 6:08 p.m. on Aug 15, 2007: The information that you gave was only enough to make me want to ask more questions, and I though you had done it on purpose because of the wink ;) I thought you were teasing me by giving only some of the answers, ... sort of a, 'ha ha, I'll never tell thing'. ... So did you mean that you actually put filter over your camera's lens then?
Woland783 said at 7:54 p.m. on Aug 15, 2007: yes, i used an orange filter and a polarizing one. mother nature made the rest!
Woland783 said at 7:55 p.m. on Aug 15, 2007: edit: not all of them were taken with the orange filter: in the last one i didn't use it for example.
AliDar said at 2:02 a.m. on Aug 16, 2007: Thanks for being patient with my questions and for answering them even though I didn't expect you to. I don't know too much about filters so it's interesting to find out what sort of effects they give. I'll certainly remember this whenever I get a chance to use them. Thank you! :)
