Wayne, this is wonderful. One flower in the bright sunlight....and his shy, shadowy companion. Just lovely.

Like how the second is blured and shadowed. Great picture

tabblo critique: beautiful! i love how the flowers are so similar that they almost seem to be reflections of each other. The lighting is absolutely perfect and very sensual. It has that "Grace Kelly" kind of feel. Sultry, mysterious, and stunning. I love the gloss on the leaves as it is revealed here. You have developed an ambiance that is truly breathtaking - literally.

Also, great choice of colors for the background. Subdued, taking a shadow to the brightness of your photo. Nicely done in every way and definitely going on my favorites list!

Good shot Wayne, just a little critique about the composition, the gloss on the leaves , call the attention more than the flower, wich is the principal theme of the picture, is just mine opinion.
anyway is a great flower picture!!

excellent tension between the in in and out of focus flowers. Beautiful work, as always. Thank you, Wayne.

TCG: I meant every word of my earlier comment! <grin> The colours are rich and pleasing (both in the photo and the tabblo choices); the lighting is (using Layla's words) mysterious and sultry, and it's hard to find any fault with the photo at all. The only thing I question is whether or not the shot would benefit from framing it so that the foremost flower isn't cut off on the right. I'm not sure about this since your eyes is pulled back and forth between the two, and making the space larger on the right would lose the angle, and so might lose the tension between the two. ... On second thought, I wouldn't change it. <grin> ... but I'm leaving what I wrote about the framing in this critique so that you can see my thoughts on how I came to the conclusion that the shot is wonderful, just the way it is!

Thanks all for your comments and compliments ...

Ali ... Really appreciate the thought you give to your critiques, especially the technical term "sumptuous" ;-)

Oscar ... I agree with the gloss green competing with the flower (took that into account on the Blue View tabblo), but sometimes I look without seeing. That's what makes these critique so valuable. Thanks

Layla ... Love your description - especially sultry.

That's the only time I've ever used that word to describe a tabblo... I hope you feel special!
