My JMT Thru Hike 2007

For me this was a once in a lifetime trip. We hiked 23 days, 230-some miles. Mostly uphill, or steep downhill. One thing I know for sure...if I used to think "downhill yeah"...well that changed. I'll hike uphill anyday before I will ever do another downhill. Ok, I so I am kidding...but you get my drift. Downhill was a real pain in the behind.

On day 19 we've met up with sacco, Chrissy, GreenMonkee and Randall. We where greeted by GreenMonkee and some ice cold beer. I mean what could be better? I can not tell you enough how great those guys where. They resupplied us with food AND brought beer?? Come on!!!

On day 23 we summited Whitney and also exited via Whitney Portal one day early. Yeahhh!! I had a blast. Would I do it again? Hell yeah!!!

Day 19: Kearsarge Lakes: GreenMonkee waiting for us with beer. :)

Beer never tasted sooooo good!!

What a wonderful adventure, thanks for this terrific tabblo! Congratulations to you and your friends on reaching a great goal. Incidentally, I also prefer uphill to down anyday of the week, even for the moderate hikes my grandma legs still allow me to enjoy ;-)
