So many people think of Saskatchewan as a bland featureless plain. While, parts of it are indeed flat and arrid farmland, other parts are vibrant landscapes that tease the senses with a myriad of lifeforms.
In Chaplin Saskatchewan you can find a stunning variety of marsh-birds, including the endangered piping plover. I caught a Killdeer and a pair of American Avocets in winter plumage.
There are also a couple of buff birds I was unable to identify. Perhaps immature Willets, or Dowitchers? |
