"The Eifel on the Nette"

This sculture is a landscape of the Volcanic Eifel, which is an area in western Germany.

The wood (Poplar driftwood) and the Basalt Lava symbolize the lanscape.

The Messing is symbolic for the river Nette that flows through the Eifel landscape.

The sculpture is being exhibited in the Area Council Office Mayen/Coblenz in Coblenz from the 20th September 2007 to the 8th January 2008

The Sculptur was regected by the Jury because my interpritation of the landscape was to noble!  I can never understand the thoughts in the minds of these jury members. Grrrrrrrrrr!
