FRAZER MANHATTAN

I put a picture below of one from on line so you could see what a beauty this was in it's day.  I'd love to see one restored.  :)

This 1948 Frazer Mahattan four door sedan has a sun visor to help keep the hot sun out.

Zippy - I had never heard of it before either. :) I had to go looking for it. I found it at the STUDEBAKER car place so didn't know if it was something from that line of cars or not ... but found the pic on line of it to verify it was a classic BEAUTY in it's day.

Some junk yards you have down there in Texas! Another great Tabblo Shiela ... worthy of a book, I think.

Wow, great to see those oldies, my son loves this too he's working with old cars (classic car restoration) so he's very interested in everything with 4 wheels :-)) He just said he had heard of this car before and he's only 22 so.....

Thanks Frank. If it had not been so muddy around and not so much grown up around them, I would have loved to have gotten some behind pictures of them too. But I was afraid to get in that far in my sandles. :) Didn't want to get bites... hahahahah....

Loes - I don't think I had ever heard of it before. Yet when I saw the picture on line of it, I'll admit I've seen some of these in movies. I think my Dad would love to check these out though. I'll have to tell him about that afternoon tromping around in the junk yard / car repair lot of the studebaker shop.

Nice seeing what the new car looked like...now those are bumpers! Very cool tabblos of the old cars and trucks.

Jude - amazing to me how the cars are all rusted out but the bumpers were SHINEY.. hahahaha...!! I think a bumper like that on the car could do some major damage to you if it hit you... !!

Thanks Anders and Wendy. It's fun to take the pictures of them and then come home and research them and find some of the pictures of them before they got all rusted out. I had fun with this series.

Yeah.. the body was still in good shape. It was not wrecked. Just rusted out ... but to someone that knew how to fix it up ... it would be something cool to attempt.
