These pictures were taken on March 10th, 2005. The exhibition now has 3,732 boots to represent the number of US Military Personnel Killed in Iraq.

Powerful, particularly the boots closeup. Aesthetically beautiful and dramatic in b/w, but sure with the man who wore them could still stand in them.

Very, very powerful - You hear numbers every night as to how many of our soldiers have lost their lives, but to actually see a representation of that number is overwhelming. This is proof that a single photo can speak thousands of words and draw upon so many emotions. Very well done Jude.

The deaths from a wrongful war is growing and growing. I don't want to be disrespectful, but how many shoes would it be if all dead Iraqis also where counted, several hundred thousands of shoes would be added. When Israel used forbidden missiles in Lebanon, that killed innocent people, in the war with Hezbollah, a year ago. President Bush said that it still was Hizbollah's fault, because they "started the war". If that still stands, i'll guess that the one who started this war also is responsible for all death of American and Iraqi humans.
