Young Osprey in Nest, Grand Canyon Yellowstone

A birds nest hardly visible by eye in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.

With our new "Bigma" lens Sigma 50-500mm plus 2Xconverter and tripod we were able to take this pictures from a viewpoint above the nest.

We went back 2 times just to view this lovely site.

Brilliant photography, it does'nt matter what equipment you have got, its being able to use it that counts, and you can certainly do that, excellent..

I wondered about the osprey shots in one of your recent tabblos -- usually osprey nest in the tops of very tall dead trees and so the nests are impossible to see into from the ground. But these guys' parents chose a cliff edge and you were able to get to a higher cliff to see them, very cool. These two seem about to fledge. Did you get any photos of the parents? Wonderful shots!

It was from the Lookout Point of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Usually its filled with people but only thoose with binoculares could see the nest. I saw the parents but they were too fast to catch (on photo ) when they were sweeping the canyon searching for food to their babies.
