Milford Labor Day Parade

Barack Obama was there and so was Mitt Romney.  I have the pictures to prove it, but you'll have to wait for the fire trucks, the marching bands, the Bektash Shriners, and other attractions of the annual Labor Day parade in Milford, NH.  This  parade is hosted  by the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post.  Every fourth year it includes politicians stumping for votes in the NH Presidential Primary.  The organizers put the politicians in the back so they don't slow things down.

Enjoy the show!

Small town parades like this seem to be a dying breed. It's sad, really. I got a kick out of the Shriners in their little cars and was amused that all the politicos were stuck at the end of the line. As a Massachusetts resident, I have undergone the Mitt Romney experience (he was our Governor) and I'll tell you right now that he will NOT be getting my vote for president.

I remember these parades where they had the shriners driving around in little cars. LOL. I was in the band playing the clarinet.

I love the small-town parades! We feel lucky if the city politicians show up for ours....
