Castle Mountain Osprey

Castle Mountain is one of my favorite peaks in Banff National Park. Near the river resides a pair of Osprey. I was fortunate to see one catch and eat a fish. The speed at which it hit the river and came up with a fish was truly an awesome experience.

Great captures of a majestic bird. We have a lot of fish hawks here in Florida. Along I-4 from Tampa to Orlando, there are dozens of man-made platforms for them to nest. And in the spring they are all occupied. Quite a site.
