Very cool! This has a real 1930's, Depression Era, Dust Bowl kind of feel. Awesome!

Very nice tabblo!! Looks like pics from the olden days.
AliDar said at 4:48 p.m. on Sep 8, 2007:
These look wonderful in sepia! Everything in the photos has a 'times gone by' feel and the sepia and the white photographic border enhances it. I especially love the photo of the truck; I loved it in colour but in sepia I'm transported backward in time, and the truck could be a wreck of a only a couple of years. ... Amazing how mere presentation can change how you see things! Great Tabblo!
Pkeener said at 5:23 p.m. on Sep 8, 2007:
thanks so much. this was a fun little experiment for me. I didn't take the photos with this in mind..so it was a challenge to find the right orientation to make them small like the old photo postcards. i wanted to evoke a sense of timelessness..but that was also difficult with the dumpsters and the wires everywhere. I was happy with the sepia..just the built in apple iPhoto edit tool on my OLD Mac...still waiting for my computer to be repaired so i can edit again!!

A very nice translation to sepia tones Pam. However, (mod voice) Weekend Best is supposed to hilight ONE photo. ;) I'm looking the other way really.... *s*
AliDar said at 8:53 p.m. on Sep 8, 2007:
Destiny, you've always looked the other way <grin>
DVP said at 9:10 p.m. on Sep 8, 2007:
Yeah, I know I've always looked the other way. I'm just moody... and Pam knows I love her and her tabblos too. :) I'm not good at enforcing those rules you know. *s*

Great sepia shots, they all look so deserted.......where is everybody???
Pkeener said at 1:59 p.m. on Sep 9, 2007:
Bertil, they were all inside the Antique stores..it's a very sleepy town. most of these were shot a couple blocks off Main St.

Black/White transformed into Sepia!? I appreciate old photos… and is good for using to advantage when all the things are the half of the price!

the sepia effect is really cool, pam, and it worked brilliantly particularly on that shot of the smashed-up truck.

All sepia: Very cool! The old truck, of course, is the 'super-star' in my heart. I'm also curious about the mosaic/tile pieces in the two, small photos. Where were they on building, I wonder? Nice job.
StacyCK said at 11:22 a.m. on Sep 10, 2007:

Wow, Pam, these are fantastic. Having traveled throughout Colorado, we came across some towns that made us feel like we were back in time. Love these postcards.
Eduardo.affonso said at 9:32 p.m. on Sep 10, 2007:
It's like a time tunnel - and I'm not talking only about the sepia effect. There's a "ghost city" atmosphere, and the emptiness reinforces the idea of "time suspended". Perfect postcards of ages ago.
Pkeener said at 9:38 p.m. on Sep 10, 2007:
i want to thank you all for the great feedback. i was just fooling around with these and i can by the comments, that you were intrigued. As Patrick said.."the whole town felt like it was in black and white" it's sad to see this architecture just fading away.
