Lake Superior

"These were taken from the Canadian side of Lake Superior just north of Sault St. Marie off of Highway 17. It was late in the afternoon and the storm clouds were really building up. It actually started to rain just as I took this last shot." Circa July, 2007.

TAMMY: just a little wet, good thing the car wasnt parked too far away! =) NOE: thank you, since i dont have HDR, exposing the shot meant i would have to meter it either for the sky or the water or the foreground...these are the few that kind of worked! RETA: cool! =) once again thank you EVERYONE!

So beautiful! Rainy days are sometimes so much more dramatic than a regular sunny day. I love the subtle changes in the color of the blue in the sky and water.

I feel the rain coming in these photos. I was recently at Lake Superior in Isle Royale Natl. Park and was so taken by this seemingly ocean size body of clear fresh water I had to jump into the cold water and swim. Good work!
