2 subjects on the same set of stairs

My daughter took the first photo the 2nd day were were exploring this house in Nebraska. She found my mother's doll and wanted to visit the house a 2nd time to photograph the doll for future paintings.  The house is on HWY 87 6 miles north of Rushville, Nebraska on the way to Pine Ridge, SD.  As a girl my grandmother would tell me, when Anton Vodicka got married he would live in this house. He remained a bachelor.

My daughter took the first photograph! She has quite the eye doesn't she?

Your daughter does indeed have quite the eye but look who it came from! Have you seen my 12 year old granddaughter's tabblos? Gwen posts under the name "Alligator".

I love the atmosphere that the bright light at the top of the stairs is causing. You can almost taste the plaster dust! I'd really love to see your daughters paintings from it as well. Great Tabblo Shirl!

Very evocative ... the doll, the crooked stairs covered with dust, the sunlight behind. Interesting!

I am so enchanted by that photo of the doll on the stairs, Shirl! It's eerie yet it draws you in and excites the imagination. And what an interesting house - ramshackle though it is, it's full of character and I'm sure has many stories to tell about the lonely bachelor Anton. Would you dare to photograph this place again at twilight? Why did you visit the house? Are you planning to do anything with it? Tell us, Mama Shirl... :-)
