Ravello, Italy

 

Suspended one thousand feet above the Amalfi Coast, Ravello has to be one of the most beautiful towns anywhere in the world. The town hosts concerts on a platform built out of the mountain that appears to be hanging in mid-air.

The little town square with it's classic Italian cafe's is framed by pine trees that have been shaped into umbrellas. On the other side of the pine trees is a sheer drop down the vally below, with mountains rising steeply on the other side.

These are beautiful photos! I think the Amalfi coast just moved up in my list of places to visit.

That would have to be one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen from a hotel/resort.

the view is amazing with the pool dropping off the edge of the cliff....but you must stop sending such breath taking photos Cliff and I have been trapped in Lincoln in the rain and are not sure we can take anymore ,,, kidding of course! thanks for sharing! Fab!

Wowie...(do people still say that?)...you are so dead-on with saying this place is gorgeous! (Now, this is a place I'd like to visit alone w/ hubby!) Thanks for sharing - breath-takingly beautiful!

Oh, I love the 3 old ladies shot! I like the middle one the best! hehe. She has some spunk...but they all look like they had some history! ;-P As for the rest, you can't pick a favorite view shot...all are so lovely.

I am indeed interested in viewing your Tabblos of your recent trip to Italy. These are great pictures, especially the evening shot with the unbrella pines - that is my favourite. Your family pictures are beautiful, too. I was in Rome earlier this year but have not had time to put together a Tabblo yet. Perhaps soon ...

That 'vanishing edge' pool and the view from it are incredible. Lovely pictures!
