Reminds me of the last scene in "The Graduate." Totally amazing how much meaning and feeling can be communicated by such a slight change in placement of a few dots.

You get maximum expression from simple lines. The "dot" eyes just barely move and invoke a world of emotion.

As Noreen said, it's all in the eyes! I love how you've been able to communicate so much of what this lack of communication is like with a few dots and a slight tilting of the circle that represents the heads. Great work April! :)
