Oct. 3rd, 2007 - A2a Builds Bridges

Are these the bridge builders of the future? We may look like trouble, but we tried our best today to build different bridges. We built one bridge out of Jenga pieces, one from Lego, and one using water bottles and dvd covers.

Each building team worked well as a team. The Lego bridge team had to build a bridge with an arch. The Jenga team had to make a bridge with straight support beams.

Focus! keep it straight

We did a good job making bridges, but we probably wouldn't walk or ride our bicycles over them. We trust the engineers and builders to make strong bridges for us to use.

Building the suspension bridge was hard work. We had to fill the water bottles, cut string and tape, and tie the string to the dvd covers.

I am the supervisor! I keep my workers motivated!

Now, we know about different types of bridges. We also learned that working together is fun. Some of us also learned that we like to pose for the camera!

will we build bridges in our class?

Here are two links to pictures of famous bridges, one in Australia and one in America:
