City of the Wine and Winery Herederos del Marqués de Riscal

King Don Juan Carlos, inaugurated in October of 2006 the City of Wine from the Marquess of Riscal, its main building, designed by Canadian architect Frank O.Gehry, situates to the centennial winery of Elciego in the vanguard of the 21st century.

The Titanium rises in indescribable scrolls of three tonalities that agree with the colors of Marquess of Riscal ( pink by the red wine, gold by enmeshes that it covers the bottle and the silver to evoke the protective capsules).

Under this whim there is a luxurious hotel with 43 rooms.

Gehry does design some strange looking buildings. You've done an excellent job capturing the unusual features. That first image is almost mythical. A building in the clouds with the birds and the planes.

Albert, this building is amazing! I really appreciate what you share from your travels. :) It helps me to learn more about other countries. Thank you.

Thanks for inviting me to see this Tabblo, Albert. My first reaction was that a terrible storm had caused severe damage to this building then realized this was Architecture! It is certainly a dramatic statement. The drainage pattern off all those scrolls when it rains must be interesting to watch, as well! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for asking me to share. I am very gald that I did not have to advise any of my clients on how to build this......... I would consider light and water on this structure would have a striking effect. Thank you for sharing. I will now have to find out where Herederos del Marqués de Riscal is located.

Que bonita! At first I thought I was in a Dali painting, and then I assumed wrongly that it was the Gerhy Concert Hall in Los Angeles! The building is amazing, but the photography eclipses it. Bravo!
