Butterflies are free you know - in Santa Barbara

On a recent sojourn to Santa Barbara, California, to celebrate our 30th anniversary, Concetta and I happened upon these wonderful creatures at the Natural History Museum.  The camera loved them, I think you will, too.

 

All shots taken with Nikon D70, an 18-200 zoom Nikkor lens, and available light.

They are beautiful. I too have a collection from our museum of national history. We call ours "the butterfly house". They are gorgeous!!!

Spectacular shots! I absolutely adore the eighteenth shot where you are looking straight on the edge of their wings! Great angle!
