HWY 1

From San Luis Obispo, I grabbed a picnic lunch and drove up HWY 1 all the way to Monterey.  I stopped at every vista point and anywhere I saw more than 2 cars.  Thus the trip took more than 4 hours.  The drive was spectacular!
