Fathers and Sons Two-Fer

1979

 

 

Not wanting to be left out of the trend to post old pictures of ourselves, I found these two - 30 years apart (and the more recent one almost 30 years ago) and put them together.  My dad just turned 91 and is healthy and busy (he finally decided to retire this year). My son will be 29 in December and is getting married next year.  I love seeing these two pictures together.

Touching pairing. Soon there'll be a third image to continue the tradition and the family. Maybe you could put the four generations in one image.

Thanks for all the comments. Patrick - looking at the two pictures, I am aware that it was my father who taught me, by the way he held me, how to hold my son. I am so grateful for having been parented well!!

LatentE - I would not presume to speculate about the pending availability of a third image, but should the opportunity arise, I will be there, camera in hand and heart on sleeve, to capture it.
