Coastal Cruising...Gilford Island

We Spent a week in august explorING the West coast with renova. Unfortunately, it was not the best weather of the summer!

One of our first stops was to explore gun enplacements On Yorke Island that were installed during WW2.

Our Daily routine involved many trips to the beach (with cody-dog), attempting to catch dinner, and exploring new areas.

We were lucky to see some beautiful coves, waterfalls, and we were stunned by this beautifully restored trawler.

I love whale watching - This time they came  UNDer the boat! No zoom lens required. We also had our share of rainy days.

Spending time below was a much needed refuge during the rainy spells. Of course, you were at the mercy of the person at the helm!

We met other local boaters at shoal bay for an end-of-season pig roast. Ken & Sherri joined us for the potluck & a hike to the mines.
