Sept. 8th, 2007 I attended my second annual Pagan Pride Day in Charlotte NC. Charlotte area Pagans of all denominations gather to celebrate their freedom and spirituality. This year, during the main ritual, there was a reenactment of Promethius and Dionysus (above). Many people dress up in spiritual garb. Many high priests wear the antlers of Cernunnos, (left) who is the horned God, the God of the hunt. Also referred to as the green man. |

The alter was set for Mabon, the Autumn equinox (above). Many of us who didn't know that the main ritual would include a reenactment wondered why there were people dressed as pirates (below). |

There were many kinds of people including Druids (left) and belly dancers (above and below). During the ritual, we threw water in the air, a form of sympathetic magic, to try to encourage rain. (bottom left) |
