Nothing Gold Can Stay

I took this photo last year and it reminded me of this poem:

"Nothing Gold Can Stay"

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay.

-- Robert Frost

Ah, the little leaf is holding on for dear life, even as its most glorious moment is fading! Vive la petite feuille! Wonderful link to Robert Frost!

I love that poem - have you ever read "The Outsiders" by S. E. Hinton?

Still waiting to get connected to the internet, then I can go Tabblo crazy! :D
