This is very cool! Your selective focus images remind me of Olivo Barbieri's work. You probably know him... he shoots from kites I think. And sometimes from real planes, and he uses a large format to get the selective focus.

Thanks,
I've seen Olivo's work, but only from a full size helicopter. I really like the effect that makes the scene look like a scale model.
Thanks again.
Derick.

Hi Derick,

Great photos. You picked a great time of year with the fall colors. Did you use gaussian blur on the 1st and 11th to give it that model look? I bet it takes quite a bit of flying skill to nail these like you did. Very nice job! How much flight time do you get on a charge? Do you mind sharing what kind of camera you used?

Thanks,
E

Thanks E. I used Lens Blur to create the effect; I get about 20-25 minutes flights per battery, I'm using Sony Cybershot P200 digital camera. Check out in my tabblos for more information there is an article about me and how I do remote control aerial photography... http://www.tabblo.com/studio/stories/view/594077/

Thanks Again
