allo allo allo!!

To the far left is a picture looking up to the French Alps from within Chamonix town. The photo immediate left is what we saw when we opened our tent after pitching it in the pitch black of night at the end of a side street! A very nice surprise, as was the thick layer of ice on the tent!!!

Above is a picture of the French Alps showing the many many jet streams hanging in the perfectly still sky. Beautiful day in a beautiful place!!! Ahhhh...... sweet sweet France :)

To the right the temperature gauge in our little car showing the balmy morning weather in Chamonix.

Above shows the imposing Groge du Verdon at sunset. A mecca for climbing in France... a little bit too high up for this little chickadee.

Left, the view from the Citadel in Sisteron which seperates Provence with the northern district above it. It was the last major site conquered by Napoleon before heading further north to take over Paris and hence become ruler of France. Go the short people!
