YOU ARE ARTISTIC AND OTHERS CAN RELATE TO YOU

Brickbottom is an artist community in Somerville MA.  Every November they have an open studio event.  This year it's happening on November 17, 18 12:00pm - 6:00pm.

I appreciate the opportunity to walk around, see some great pieces of art, and speak with the artists.  This tabblo is about the more personal side of making art, the artists' tools, objects of inspiration, and internal processes.

Thanks to all the artists I visited with during the open house for letting me photograph their tools and work areas.

the paint pallet had an interesting side effect for me. I have a small screen and so I was scrolling the tabblo. The pallet kept going and going and going. I was not sure when it would end. It gave me a feeling that the painter may have had a similar feeling about the art - not actually knowing when it was finished until it happened.

This makes me feel right at home. Excellent segue from the fortune to the artists studios. WOW thanks for this one. I hope you can show this to them. Love every frame.

I like these photos and the flow of one to the other as I scroll down. Love the transition from photo #1 to the globular, textural riot of color that follows, then the tools and the forms and the visual details of place.
