Some very great shots of weathered items, love the composition, the colors and textures, as always Great work

Oops. My first attempt at a comment went down the bitbucket well (mixed metaphor?). Nice collection of still life objects that are a perfect match for the fall. Some appreciates their beauty to save and place them. Is that star burst thing a tiller? I think I see faucet knobs and is that a clutch plate?

Des images qui me parlent terriblement. Salut Pammie.
Krisu said at 10:09 a.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
Yes. You have it in this tabblo, that something I cannot explain. Love this.
Memotions said at 10:26 a.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
This has a real artistic antique feel. The "distressed" objects and the intermingled subjects with paint tie it together oh so well! The overturned washtub is a perfect ending to this story. Another great collection Pam!
Hollyridger said at 10:36 a.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
You have such a great eye for the unique, Pam. Wonderful combination of textures, colours and unusual objects.
JuDeck said at 10:38 a.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
Great composition Pam. Love how you repeated some subjects from a different perspective.
Leftofcenter said at 10:44 a.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
I stand by my first reaction when you let me view it this morning from whichever angle you look at this, it's effin perfect. you're the best.

I like to say a lot...........in Duch. In English: I am dumbfounded.
Anyway,

Pam - perfect November collection. Old - Cold - Lonely - Lovely.
Leeuwjan said at 10:49 a.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
a beautiful tabblo!! Nice shots.
Pkeener said at 11:16 a.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
thanks everyone. when i see texture, it really gets me going. i was not in photographer "mode" when i shot these...just being lazy and pointing my camera at random things. glad you like it. Latent, those are faucet knobs...i loved that starburst/sunburst thing. not sure about the other stuff. this backyard isn't mine. Jan, your english is appreciated! and much better than my dutch could ever be.

Nice set Pam... I like that small tractor =)
Nmat said at 5:59 p.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
From the preview, I had no clue what was the subject of those first shots, just that the colors and lines were stunning. This is terrific, Pam. We are in Longmont for Thanksgiving, our temperature just dropped 40 degrees today -- yours too?
Pkeener said at 6:01 p.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
Hi Nancy!!!! It dropped and the sky is almost black...Sunday it was 75 degrees. thank you noe!
Paolo said at 6:19 p.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
I love this tabblo, Pam.
MHCityPlanner said at 6:29 p.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
Pam, I cannot imagine you not in "photographer mode" ;-) Once you've trained your eye really to look and then to see, it's hard to turn off, just a matter of intensity. Love the relaxed and comfortable feel of the images, a scrapbook of the ordinary, collectively being a little more. Peaceful, but intriguing. Nicely done.
Wlk68 said at 6:35 p.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
Wonderful colors and textures. You have a real knack for pics of weathered, worn and distressed items. I love it.
Patrickterencelim said at 7:07 p.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
This tabblo stirs such nostalgia. It is like a movie when the main character who leaves home at a young age and years after returns to visit the estranged family only to find the family house vacant and weathered. *soft sad music playing in the background*
OscarDaniel said at 7:18 p.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
Great collection Pam!
Lifequest22 said at 7:23 p.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
Pam--i've visited this tab several times today because it's just so interesting-- the texture, lines, color, composition, the layout and the mood you've conveyed through your eyes. Amazing!!! I like how the tractor matches the color of the chairs.
Fasteddie42 said at 7:45 p.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
Lovely textures, very nice work.
Jigs said at 8:08 p.m. on Nov 20, 2007:
Weathered. Distressed. Antique. Vintage. All these objects speak of a rich past history in the autumn of their existence. Nice.

a great tabblo Pomsie. Even you take pictures at random, you make an artistic work here ! the time and weather are doing great things (as your tabblo about colours of rust work)...

Beautiful tabblo Pam, great shots and very artistic.
AliDar said at 4:46 a.m. on Nov 21, 2007:
There's a sad beauty in these old and forgotten things. It's like one day they will all crumble to dust, but today, they hold a tenuous link to the past when they were useful and cared for, as well as to the future when they will no longer exist. Such alot of meaning to give to such things, but this is what these type of tabblos of yours make me think of....

Wow! I love this! Great tabblo Pam!
Bxrgirl27 said at 8:28 a.m. on Nov 21, 2007:
Love this Pam! I wanna steal those old chairs in the first shots for my garden to go under my arbor - I love the color combo and the fact that they have natural patina!

Your comments are so great. I waited too long to address all of you individually. I have to say, it's really easy to be inspired when you are surrounded by so many cool things. Patrick is a colllector, and he really has a gift for displaying his wonderful pieces, as LAtentE pointed out. Laura, i have coveted those chairs since i first laid eyes on them! Thanks again for all of your remarks.
Eduardo.affonso said at 12:00 p.m. on Nov 21, 2007:

Amazing.
How on earth did you manage to capture such brilliance on a dull cloudy day? Concealed reflectors? Tell us, what is your magic?
Pkeener said at 10:58 a.m. on Nov 22, 2007:
Greatest ever, Edu? Great subject matter makes it easy. Carisma, no secrets, just the magical light of the bright overcast day. So perfect for photographing.
