More Amish Country Beauty & Charm

The beauty of the Amish country is all around you, if you have the courage to simply get lost. I found this rich area by driving through Ephrata and driving along Route 322 until I started seeing signs for small towns this native Pennsylvanian had never heard of.

My 24 hours in Amish country showed me (and hopefully you) that one doesn't need to fly long distances to seek out beauty and charm in other countries.  There's plenty of both all around just about anyplace. And yes, that's me, peeking around the door of the women's outhouse of an abandoned Mennonite church in Mt. Airy, PA.

Wonderful tabblo! We used to live close to an Amish community in Illinois. We always enjoyed driving through it. Thank you for sharing these.

I was in this area in late Sept. Stayed in a little town called Intercourse, PA. A lot of people don't believe that's the real name of a town. Beautiful area and nice shots of it.
