The 7 KM Market outside of Odessa

Thousands of containers stacked two high with shops of all kinds, clothing, shoes, perfumes, toys.  The container rows stretch as far as the eye can see - and at 8:15 in the morning (when these shots were taken) the market was teeming with people

The Catacombs - 550K of lime stone mines that were used by the resistance (partisans) in WWII.  Outside waiting for our tour - David, Larry, Monica, Gail, Deb, and Robert all huddled together for warmth.  Below right - Robert wrapped up like "Kenny"!

Back on the bus - we're too cold to wait outside!

Left to right, row by row:

Kitchen; Drum where they baked bread; Motto:  Blood for Blood, Death for Death; Troop movement map; radio room

Partisan heliping the war effort; the well where farmers would send down a false bottom bucket with food or information for the partisans; commemorative drawing on wall; hand carved from stone palm up

Photos and displays in the museum at the end of the tour; one of the ever increasingly poor toilet facilitaies we toured around Odessa; monument to the partisans; back on the bus ready for our next adventure

Privost market - the "old" food market in Odessa

Dowtown Odessa; How far to Baltimore?; Bridal parties; One-sided house
