I shoot in the high school concerts (my daughter is in the band). I usually used the D200 with a 85mm f1.4 lens. I have the lens at f1.6 or 1.8 and shoot ISO 1600.
The photos require noise reduction using Noise Ninja or Noiseware (I prefer Noiseware these days).
With the Nikon D3, I can shoot ISO 3200/6400 and I don't need any special noise reduction. Simply amazing. These are the results of my first shoot with the camera.
