A part of Florida history - people here were kept in debt to the company store and tracked down if they tried to escape.

The photographies are beautiful I like the armchair the bicycle the house, quite left and old jeep is perfect for what my I like to look in it for a history

Your photos are lovely. There is a sadness in this.... mine workers in other parts of the country were kept in similar circumstances...always in debt to the company store. So hard to break away, in a lot of cases impossible.

Very mysterious, but mostly scary and sad. Is this house abandoned or is it still lived in??

This was a turpentine camp. The trees were slashed. The sap would run down into the buckets. The place was abandoned long ago. It is in northeast Florida.
