When people think Germany they think of Bavaria. Its where the men with suspended pants and women with long plaid dresses dance and drink 1 beer in one liter mugs. Despite the generalization, Bavaria is in the Alps, and the landscapes are magnificent. King Ludwig II built the Neuschwanstein, Lindenhof and a number of other amazing palaces in these mountains. We didn't get to see much of its outer beauty due to the bad weather but I got the jist of it.

Did I mention how beautiful the landscape was? I was thinking ''Sound of Music'' throughout the car ride. Bavaria is actually really close to Austria. Another kilometer or two and we would have been walking in another country.
